Impact of Flexible Circuit Bonding and System Integration on Energy Resolution of Cross-strip CZT Detectors

Cadmium Zinc Telluride (CZT) detectors enables high spatial resolution and detection efficiency are utilized for many gamma-ray X-ray spectroscopy applications. In this paper, we describe a stable bonding process report on the characterization of cross-strip CZT before after to flexible circuit. The utilizes gold stud polymer epoxy technique bond circuits two crystals form detector module in an Anode-Cathode-Cathode-Anode (ACCA) configuration. readout electronics is optimized terms shaper setting steering electrode voltage. average full width half maximum (FWHM) energy at 662 KeV 110 tested individually was 3.5% ± 0.59% 4.75% 0.48% pre-bonded post-bonded, respectively. No depth correction performed study. FWHM scaled-up system with 80 4.40% 0.53%, indicating stacking modules does not deteriorate performance. proper shielding grounding slightly improved system-wide 511 5.85% 0.73%.
